The Camera
1. The Camera obscura effect is dark room and it basically was the first camera invinted.
While in the dark room it has a hole in the wall which lets the light in and the outside be
projected on the opposite wall.
2. The invention that helped get closer to the modern camera in the 17th century is lenses and optics because Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens understood the process of glass.
3. The parts of the first modern camera invented by Niépce is the film.
4.The modern digital cameras that have in common with Niépce camera is that they have a film
and a dark box and a lens.
5. The digital cameras use to capture an image is a electronic sensor called a CCD which is
stored in a memory device.
Camera Modes
6. The difference between auto mode and program mode is auto mode controls the flash
and exposure for you, while program you can control the flash and more settings.
7. Portrait mode is used for blurring out the background and focusing on the subject
and it works by using the fastest lens setting as possible.
8. Sports mode is used to freeze the motion of the subject and it works by using the highest
shutter speed as possible.
The Half Press
9. You should use half press on the trigger button because it focuses on the subject.
Controlling Flash
10. The symbol with no lightning means disabled flash and it depends on photographer
if they want to use or not use flash to create dramatic effect.
11.The symbol with lighting and auto means auto flash and you use this mode when
the camera thinks it needs more light .
Introduction to Exposure
12.What happens if a photo has too much light is that it will be washed out.
13. When a picture does not have enough light in means that a picture is too dark.
The Universal Stop
14. Stop is a relative change in the brightness of light its like if you have a light bulb
but add another light bulb the light will change intensely.
15. There are 4 stops brighter on the new planet if there were two suns instead of one.
16. There are 8 stops brighter on the new planet if there were four suns instead of two.
Shutters and Aperture
17. The effect with longer shutter speed is more light will come in through the lens
18. The effect with shorter shutter speed is less light will come in.
19. The word aperture control means before light reaches film it has to pass through
aperture.
20. When adjusting the aperture ,you can increase the amount of light by adusting the
F stop to a smaller number which makes a bigger hole to let light in.
